The overwhelming emotion produced by fear is wild fight/flight. What does rationalism do to quell this cause and effect, since that is what rationalism claims to do.
Rationalism does not claim to quell fear. Running from hungry lion is a rational act. It may save your life.

Fear and love are not opposites. They are both emotions that are produced in us depending on whether what we value is threatened or supported. Love and fear are both useful emotions.

You have to remember that though Christians quote from the Bible all the time, they also claim to not 'believe' it.
If you quote the words of Jesus and they cause problems, they are open to interpretation or exclusion.

The culture and beliefs of the people in AVATAR have much in common with the native American Indians. They along with their culture were largely wiped out by mass immigration. I can see history repeating itself - as it always does. What goes around comes around.

As for Christians, they can believe and watch whatever the want. If they like the movie, they will start to believe that Jesus was blue, and find a reference in the Bible that can be interpreted to support this new truth.

If we offer our love to someone and then tell them that failure to accept our love will result in our wrath, we are not offering love. We are threatening the person. This is a bullying - love me or else attitude and is an abuse of the word love.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses Bible uses the words, ‘God’s wrath remains upon him.’ Suggesting that it is already there and can only be removed by accepting the love under pain of death.
These are the writings of John which have been claimed as God’s words. Perfect love should not be conditional. If a perfect God exists, John has failed to explain such a God.

I live in the overcrowded European state, formally known as England. I am developing a phobia towards people.
They are getting, nosier and fatter, so occupying too much space. They are less well mannered and always seem to be in the way. They drop litter and block the side walk while they shout into their mobile phones.
I would see a doctor to see if this counts as a phobia but there is a waiting list and there is not enough space in the waiting room.
